Trevor Hall realized at a very young age that music was more than just a passion. As an eleven year old, playing harmonica beside his father in the cradle of the weeping willows of South Carolina, music quickly became his most intimate companion, guide and creative outlet. In his elementary years, he began to write his own songs and perform them locally.

At sixteen he recorded his first record, and the following year he left South Carolina to study classical guitar at Idyllwild Arts Academy, an international boarding school east of Los Angeles. There, Trevor was introduced to yoga and certain spiritual practices found in India, which greatly influenced his music and his life journey. During his senior year, Trevor signed a record deal with Geffen Records and his career as a musician formally began.

For the past ten years, Brett Dennen – with his poet’s perspective, off-kilter vocals, humor, and limitless musical freedom – has turned dancing like no one’s watching into a lifestyle. As a songwriter, performer, watercolor artist, and environmental conservationist and outdoorsman, the shows he performs and the events he hosts generate positive impact. He gathers people together to consistently try to make the world a better place.

As a young man in Northern California, Dennen’s passion for environmental conservation and his outrage at injustice led him to work as a camp counselor for at-risk youth. There, he used music as a teaching tool. Through song, he could pull different demographics of kids together, he could communicate in a different way with those who found trouble finding their own words.

All Athletes are required to complete the USADA Athletes Advantage Education Certification in their USA Weightlifting membership as well as Safesport training. CLick on Certification area in USAW Membership (BARS).

At the 2020 National Masters Weightlifting Championship, the 80% rule will be enforced. Your starting attempts must be within 80% of qualifying total.
Proof of Entry: In the event of a dispute regarding the timely submission of the Entry Form, all lifters must have proof of having entered the event.
Eligibility: All master lifters properly registered with USAW Masters Program who are at least 35 years of age on or before December 31, 2020. Participants must show proof of age and of current registration at the time of weigh-in AgeGroups.
Venue: Wyndham Resort, International Drive, Orlando, Florida
COMPETITION: Schedule and Start List
Competition will take place on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday April 16th through April 19th at the Competition Venue. The exact lifting schedule will not be determined until 2 days after the entry deadline. The expectation is that the oldest lifters will compete on Thursday, and the youngest men will lift on Sunday. The remaining entries will be divided to balance the number and sizes of sessions throughout the weekend.

Weight Category Change: Please note that according to USAW Masters rules, an athlete may increase or decrease his/her body weight category at the verification meeting. After the meeting an athlete may increase, but may not decrease his/her body weight category. The athlete must notify the Competition Secretary and report to the weigh-in of the original weight category to confirm the change to a heavier category. If there are any questions about this ruling please contact your National Master's Chairman, Michael Cohen.
Drug Testing and Doping Control: Pursuant to the rules of USA Masters Weightlifting, these championships are a drug-tested event. The US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) will be under contract to handle all testing-related procedures. The number of tests administered will depend on the number of entries received for the championships. Of each entry received, $25 is allocated to the contracted costs with USADA.
Medals: Medals are NOT availabe for NON USA citizens, but this event may be used as qualifier for the 2020 World Masters Championships.
